An SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record is a TXT record that is part of a domain’s DNS zone file. An SPF record at your DNS hosting provider is essentially a list of the servers that are allowed to send emails for your domain. Adding an SPF record can help detect and prevent spammers from sending email messages with forged From addresses on your domain.
Sample SPF record:
v=spf1 mx include:_spf.google.com ip4:65.254.224.29 -all
Update SPF Records
1. Log in to your Domain control panel.
2. On the dashboard, select the domain where you’re updating the SPF record and then click the domain’s Manage button.
3. On the DNS & Nameservers page, select the DNS Records tab. Select TXT from the Type menu options.
4. Select Add Record to save your new SPF record.
Most DNS updates take effect within an hour but could take up to 48 hours to update globally.
