Error in cPanel “Your IP address has changed. Please log in again”
This is a cPanel error. Generally, it occurs when your IP address changed while you logged into your cPanel. There are a few possibilities I have mentioned below.
1). If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has a short DHCP lease time and your IP address change frequently.
2). Or If you are logging in to cPanel using the same account from two different devices concurrently.
Why does it occur?
This happens due to security measures your hosting provider set at his end to limit an attacker to hijack your session information to login into your account. This kind of attack is known as the “Man in the Middle attack”. Your Hosting provider set Cookie IP validation as strong for this security measure.
How to resolve this error?
If you want to remove this security measure you will need root access for WHM. If you have that then you can set Cookie IP validation to “Loose” to resolve this error through these steps:
1). Login to WHM >> “Main” >> “Server Configuration” >> “Tweak Settings” >> Click on “Security” tab.
2). Check for “Cookie IP Validation” and change settings to “Loose” or you can disable it completely.
3). Clear your browser’s cache and restart your Internet connection, and then try again.

Static DNS settings will never update on their own and will remain the same until you update them. Static DNS settings are very useful, since they provide a stable service with no interruptions, and can increase the overall speed of your website.
Dynamic DNS refers to systems that are used to update traditional DNS records without manual editing. Dynamic DNS is a method of automatically updating a name server in the Domain Name System, often in real-time, with the active DDNS configuration of its configured hostnames, addresses, or other information.
An SPF (Sender Policy Framework) record is a TXT record that is part of a domain’s DNS zone file. An SPF record at your DNS hosting provider is essentially a list of the servers that are allowed to send emails for your domain. Adding an SPF record can help detect and prevent spammers from sending email messages with forged From addresses on your domain.
Sample SPF record:
v=spf1 mx include:_spf.google.com ip4:65.254.224.29 -all
Update SPF Records
1. Log in to your Domain control panel.
2. On the dashboard, select the domain where you’re updating the SPF record and then click the domain’s Manage button.
3. On the DNS & Nameservers page, select the DNS Records tab. Select TXT from the Type menu options.
4. Select Add Record to save your new SPF record.
Most DNS updates take effect within an hour but could take up to 48 hours to update globally.

What is a secondary DNS server?
Primary DNS servers contain all relevant resource records and handle DNS queries for aĀ domain. By contrast, secondary DNS servers contain zone file copies that are read-only, meaning they cannot be modified. Instead of getting their information from local files, they receive pertinent information from a primary server in a communication process known as a zone transfer.
Zone transfers become more complicated when they are completed between multiple secondary servers. If several secondary servers are in use, one may be designated as a higher-tier secondary server so that it is capable of replicating zone file copies to the remaining pool of secondary servers.

AĀ primary DNS serverĀ is the first point of contact for a browser, application or device that needs to translate a human-readable hostname into an IP address. The primary DNS server contains a DNS record that has the correct IP address for the hostname. If the primary DNS server is unavailable, the device contacts a secondary DNS server, containing a recent copy of the same DNS records.
How Does a Primary DNS Server Work?
When a computer or device needs to connect to another device on the Internet, it typically uses a human-readable domain name, like āwww.example.comā. The browser or application needs to translate the domain name into a numeric Internet Protocol (IP) address like ā192.100.100.1ā. This translation is done by the Domain Name System (DNS).
The device first contacts the primary DNS server that hosts theĀ controlling zone file. This file contains the authoritative DNS information for the domain or subdomain. āAuthoritativeā means it is the trusted source for information like the IP address of the domain, administrator contact information, and settings like Time to Live (how long this IP address should be saved in a local cache).
The primary DNS server server resolves the query by returning the IP address for the requested hostname. However, if the primary server is slow to respond, or is unavailable, the device is referred to one or more secondary DNS servers.
